From 1st March 2026, Hortus and Symbio will no longer use the AgPro web portal for sample submission and results reporting.
Symbio Laboratories will continue to provide analytical testing services for Hortus clients directly through our Brisbane laboratory,
with the same commitment to quality and service you are familiar with.
How do I submit samples to Symbio Labs?
We will still accept most Hortus sample suites (see exceptions below for SAP, DRY TISSUE and CARBON SOIL testing).
You can submit samples using the paper ARF (Analytical Request Form) linked above, or regular clients may wish to use our eResults and Online ARF web portal for online submissions.
It is important that ALL samples received are clearly labelled and accompanied with paperwork. If we cannot clearly identify your samples, test requirements, and contact details, your testing may be delayed or cancelled.

Will anything change with my samples, tests or reports?
We will continue to perform the same analytical tests for most Hortus sample suites. In some cases, you may notice minor changes to reporting units or calculated values, but the underlying analysis will remain consistent.
IMPORTANT note:
Symbio reports will NOT include Optimal Levels for any samples. Where possible, we can provide guidance and references for some samples (eg. Australian Drinking Water or Freshcare guidelines), and may include these levels on our reports in the future.
What happens to my existing data in AgPro?
We do not expect any immediate change to your existing data in AgPro. You should still be able to login, view historical results; and download PDF reports for your records.
Please note that AgPro is not owned or controlled by Symbio Laboratories, and we are therefore unable to guarantee long-term access to data stored within the AgPro system.
Are there any changes to prices or invoicing?
There will be no changes to pricing for Hortus sample suites from 1st March 2026.
For cash clients, Symbio will not release results until payment receipt is confirmed. If you are an existing Hortus/Symbio client and would like to apply for credit, our Customer Service team can assist you, or you may complete our Credit Application form.
From 1 March 2026, Symbio will unfortunately no longer be able to offer testing for:
These tests rely on AgPro Optimal Levels to generate crop-specific reports, which will no longer be available to us.
